Drone ops: track every object in the frame, flag only what matters

Solnix MediaOct 18, 20265 min read

Drone ops is the aerial part of every Solnix Enterprise suite. Each feed detects every object in view, keeps the same ID on each one as it moves, and raises an alert only when something breaks a rule you set. The alerts go into the same agent queue and approvals flow as the rest of the suite.

01

Detection, tracking and the alert rule

Three things happen on every frame. A detector finds every object in view: vehicles, people, aircraft, poles, containers, plant. A tracker keeps the same ID on each object from frame to frame, which is what lets the system count, follow paths and know that the truck on the left is the same truck it saw ten seconds ago. Then rules decide what matters: a person inside an exclusion zone, vegetation inside a line corridor, an object on an apron. Objects that pass a check are marked green, alerts red, and everything else is simply tracked.

02

Missions written for each industry

The missions differ by industry. Energy flies line patrol and vegetation sweeps along feeder corridors and checks substation perimeters. Aerospace sweeps aprons for foreign object debris and watches the perimeter. Construction captures site progress and checks that every worker is wearing a hard hat. Logistics follows trucks, forklifts and stackers through a container yard and flags a blocked lane. Telecom audits tower antennas and flags corrosion, loose cables and nests. Retail and hospitality watch crowd density.

03

From an alert to a decision

An alert is not just a red box. It opens an agent check: the agent gathers the frame, the track history and the asset record, applies your rules and drafts the action, such as a vegetation work order or a site safety notice. That lands in Approvals with the evidence attached, and the person who owns the decision approves it. The alert log and the tracked-objects table show what is in view across all feeds at once.

04

Four feeds at once

Each suite shows four live feeds side by side, each with its mission, altitude, speed, battery and position, and a count of objects tracked and alerts raised. Selecting a feed enlarges it. The tour uses sample footage generated for each industry; for your organisation, Solnix connects your own drone fleet and your own rules.

Frequently asked questions

What is multi-object tracking in drone inspection?

Multi-object tracking detects every object in each video frame and keeps the same ID on each one as it moves, so a system can count objects, follow their paths and know that a vehicle seen now is the same one seen seconds earlier.

What can Solnix Drone ops flag?

Examples per industry: vegetation encroachment and insulator flashover on power lines, foreign object debris on airport aprons, workers without hard hats on construction sites, blocked lanes in container yards, corrosion and loose cables on telecom towers, and crowd density in public spaces.

What happens when Solnix Drone ops raises an alert?

An agent gathers the frame, the track history and the asset record, applies your rules and drafts the action, such as a work order. It goes to Approvals for the person who owns the decision.

Does Solnix Drone ops work with our own drones?

The tour uses sample footage. For a deployment, Solnix connects your own drone fleet, missions and alert rules.
